Thurmond Branham, 36, of Eastover, died at the Veterans Hospital at 8:30 a.m. Monday after three months’ illness.
Born in Richland County, he was a son of the late Johnny C. and Carrie Jackson Branham.
Mr. Branham had lived in Eastover for the past 25 years. He formerly lived at Blaney, where he was a member of the Union Baptist Church.
A veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, he was a truck driver for the S. C. Hill Company of Eastover.
Survivors include fives brothers, Willie, Robert, John G. and Allen Branham, all of Eastover, and Charles D. Branham of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Smith of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Sara E. Long of California, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Union Baptist Church at Blaney by the Rev. G. R. Partridge. Interment will be in the churchyard.

Funeral services for Thurmond Branham were to be held today at 2 p.m. in Union Baptist Church at Blaney, conducted by the Rev. G. P. Partridge and the Rev. Coy Muckle. Interment was to be to the churchyard.
Branham, 36, of Eastover, died Monday in the Veterans’ Hospital after an illness of three months.
Active pallbearers were to be S. F. Reynolds, Fred Spivy, Johnnie Nunn, Frank House, LeRoy Miller and Willie Campbell.
Honorary pallbearers were to be F. C. Hill. Abe Goodwin, Robert Stokes, Sidney Reynolds, H B McCullough, Donald Hodge, Grayson Felton Sr. and M S. Dwight.
