First Kershaw Cotton of 1961 Ginned Friday

CAMDEN – The first bale of cotton from Kershaw Countys’ 1961 crop was ginned last Friday at the E. T. Bowen gin in Blaney. The bale, which weighed about 400 pounds and graded middling, was picked from the E. L. Sessions farm near Blaney. Mr. Session produced the first reported bale in the county last year, also.
