Funeral services for Herman J. W. Kizer, 69, were to be held at 2 p.m. today in Jefferson, Ga.,
Mr. Kizer of Jefferson, Ga., and a native of Holly Hill, died Wednesday in Jefferson. He was the brother of Mrs. Horace T. Jacobs of Columbia.
He was born in Holly Hill, a son of the late Edward J. and Olivia Stouemire Kizer. He was a graduate of of the University of South Carolina, class of 1915.
Mr. Kizer taught school in South Carolina and Georgia, and retired as superintendent of the schools of Jefferson. He later became associated with the Georgia State Department of Labor, retiring two years ago.
Other survivors include his widow, Mrs. Iva Flowers Kizer; a son H. J. W. Kizer, Jr., of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Mrs. L. A. Murray and Mrs. N. D. Ackerman of Moncks Corner and Miss Helen Kizer of Holly Hill, and three brothers, Lawton E. Kizer Sr. of Florence, L. F. Kizer of Moncks Corner and J. E. Kizer of Holly Hill.
