Ground Broken In Ceremonies BLANEY (Special) – Ground was broken here Tuesday for a new pilot plant of the Elgin National Watch Co. The ceremony included used of a double shoved by Henry M. Whiskey Still Raided, Blaney Man Charged

A 49-year-old Blaney man was arrested Saturday after Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies raided and destroyed a still near Pontiac. Charged with manufacturing and possessing illegal whiskey following the 1 p.m. raid was Mansel Clifton Coleman. Destroyed was a 100-gallon capacity still, six 50-gallon fermenters, a 50-gallon flake stand, copper condenser and cap, 18 gallons of whiskey and 300 gallons of mash, deputies reported.
