Cook Services Set Thursday

Funeral Services for Ransom Thomas Cook, Sr., will be held Thursday, at 3:30 p.m. in Bayview Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. George Turbeville. Interment will be in Union Baptist Church yard, Blaney.

The casket will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Prior to that, it will be at the Paschal Funeral Home.

Mr. Cook, 78, of 7108 Amick Drive, died early Monday in El Dorado, Ark., en route to Columbia. He had been visiting relatives in Utah.

Funeral services for Ransom Thomas Cook Sr. were held today in Bayview Baptist Church. Interment was in Union Baptist Churchyard in Blaney. The Rev. George Turbeville, the Rev. George R. Patridge, the Rev. M. L. Moore and the Rev. J. H. Barrett officiated.

Mr. Cook, 7018 Amick Dr., died early Monday in El Dorado, Ark., while en route to Columbia after visiting relatives in Utah.

Active pallbearers were Charlie Cook, Mahlon Jr., Louise Brown, Ray Drakeland, Tally Easler and Edward Cook.

Mr. Cook, who was born in Richland County on Dec. 9, 1883, has been a lifetime citizen of this county. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Decatur Cook (Sarah Lucinda Abigaile “Sallie” Long Cook).

Mr. Cook died early Monday morning in El Dorado, Ark., while en route to Columbia, after visiting relatives in Utah.
