Pelion FFA Team Wins In Contest

PELION – The Pelion FFA Parliamentary Procedure Team won first place in the federation and district contest held recently at Lexington. The members of the team were Joseph Shumpert, Jerry Craft, Gene Daggerhart, and Robert Rish. Frank B. Stover is the agriculture teacher and team advisor.

The Cameron FFA team won second place in the district elimination. Other teams in the district contest were Thurmond FFA and Baron DeKalb FFA. All teams in the district contest won their repective Federation contests earlier that afternoon.

Second place federation teams were Gilbert, Dentsville, Blaney, and Saluda.

As a result of winning first place in the District elimination, the Pelion team will represent District three in the State contest to be held this summer in connection with the state FFA convention.
