According to the United States Census recorded on May 9, 1930, John H Raban (40) rented a home in Blaney, Kershaw, South Carolina he made his home with his wife, Edith B Raban (34). It was reported that they were married when John was 27 and Edith was 21, placing their marriage about 1917. Also in the home was their children; Jessie M Raban (13), Mattie L Raban (11), Mary E Raban (9), Helen E Raban (8), Adell M Raban (6), John H Raban Jr. (2), Blanche V Raban (1) and William T Raban (26 days old). All of the household members were reported to have been born in South Carolina. John H Raban was a foreman on the railroad section crew.

According to the United States Census recorded on May 14, 1940, John Rabon (50) owned a home in Wateree township, Kershaw, South Carolina, Also in the home was his wife, Blanche Rabon (44), and children; Mary Rabon (19) Helen Rabon (18) Adelle Rabon (16) John Rabon, Jr. (13) Virginia Rabon (11) and Stanley Rabon (10). All of the household members were reported to have been born in South Carolina. John Rabon worked for the Railroad in the switch box and Mary Rabon worked in a mill as a bookkeeper.

1965
