Wendy Elizabeth Rhodes was born November 6, 1960 in Columbia, Richland County, South Carolina, the daughter of William Harold Rhodes and Iris Nelson Rhodes.

Funeral services for Wendy Elizabeth Rhodes will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in North Trenholm Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Horace F. Chapman, the Rev. Fred W. Ayers. Interment will be in Crescent Hill Memorial Park.

The six year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Harold Rhodes of Rt. 3, Columbia, died Sunday, December 4, 1966, when her sliding board overturned. She was climbing on the slide when it overturned, and she struck her head on a bolt which protruded about a half inch, according to sheriff’s deputies.

Mrs. Rhodes is the former Iris Nelson. Wendy Elizabeth attended North Trenholm Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her parents are a brother William Harold Rodes, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie B. Nelson; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Hancel Rhodes; maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Logan B. Nelson of Blaney; paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Lula Rhodes of Bay Minette, Ala. and paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Sims of Atmore, Ala.
