Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in Hillcrest Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Charles W. Kirby will officiate.

Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late William P. Nelson and Henrietta Proctor Nelson.

Surviving are a son, Curtis W. Morgan of Elgin; two daughters, Miss Ellie Morgan and Mrs. M. H. Wessinger, both of Elgin; three brothers, L. B. Nelson of Elgin, J. L. Nelson and G. C. Nelson both of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. L. A. Roberts of Columbia; and a number of nieces and nephews, among them are three whom she reared: A. H. Nelson of Anderson, A. B. Nelson and H. W. Nelson, both of Elgin.

ELGIN – Mrs. Alice Sarah Morgan, 86, widow of A. L. (Jack) Morgan of Rt. 2 Elgin, died Thursday in the Columbia Hospital.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday at the Hillcrest Baptist Church.

She was born in Kershaw County a daughter of the late William B. Nelson and Henrietta Proctor Nelson. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Also surviving are a son, Curtis W. Morgan of Elgin; two daughters, Miss Ellie Morgan and Mrs. Pearl Wessinger of Elgin; three brothers, L. B. Nelson of Elgin, J. L. Nelson and G. C. Nelson of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. L. A. Roberts of Columbia; a number of nieces and nephews including A. H. Nelson of Anderson, A. B. Nelson and H. W. Nelson, both of Elgin, whom she raised.
