Grover C. Courtney, 80, of 2204 Mercer St., retired farmer, died Sunday in Columbia Hospital.

Mr. Courtney was born in Lancaster, son of the late James McF. and Maggie King Courtney.

Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Dorothy C. Pressley of Columbia, Mrs. Alberta C. Martin of Elgin, Mrs. Margaret C. Murphay of Rock Hill, and Mrs. Sarah Ann Leonard of Jacksonville, Fla., two sons, Edward A. and James C. Courtney of West Columbia.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel, conducted by the Rev. M. L. Sturkie. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens.
