Four Are Killed In Bus Collision

CAMDEN, (AP) – Four young men were killed Friday when their car collided head on with a school bus near their homes in this vicinity. Thirteen youngsters on the Blaney High School bus were injured, none seriously the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office said.

The Highway patrol identified the dead as Wade Jasper Ruff, 23, Larry D. Johnson, 16, and Gilbert Jefferson Jr., 15, all of Rt. 2, Lugoff, and James Brown, 16, of Rt. 2, Elgin.

The collision occurred at an intersection of two secondary roads nine miles west of Camden. Police said the auto, driven by Ruff, rounded a curve and crossed into the opposite land.
