ELGIN – Pudge Tarbett of Silver Spring, Md. won the Fuel Altered competition on his Chevy-powered altered with an 8.17 E. T. Saturday night at Blaney Drag Strip.

In the featured Pro Stock competition, Robert Nance’s “Mister Plymouth” Barracuda top honors with a 10.30 E. T.

The Grace and Williams team from Augusta, Ga. took first place money in the C-Gas ’68 Chevy II in the super Stock-Modified Eliminator was won by Sonny Tindal Cayce in his B-Stock ’69 Camaro.

Theron Smith of Gilbert won Little Stock Eliminator at the wheel of an O-SA ’57 Chevy.
