Funeral services for Willie Melvin Banham will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Union Baptist Church in Elgin.

Mr. Branham, 79, of 2304 Park St., died yesterday in a local nursing home.

He was born in Kershaw county, a son of the late Sam Branham and Mary Hayes Branham. He was a retired carpenter and lived in Columbia most of his life. He was married to the late Mrs. Mary Branham.

Surviving ar three daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Gussie) Powell and Mrs. Thomas W. (Eva) Grandon of Columbia, and Mrs. O. A. (Ada) Gilley of Barnell; three sons, Paul C. Branham and Grover A. Branham of Columbia and Francis W. Branham of Los Angeles; a sister Mrs. Essie Dawkins of Columbia and seven brothers, Leslie Branham, Alfred Branham, amd Purdie Branham of Elgin, Leonard Branham and Talmadge Branham of Columbia, Hazel Branham of West Columbia and Boykin Branham of Lynville, Ga.

Thompson Funeral Home is in charge.

Pallbearers will be Marshall Elkins, Ray Branham, Charlie Branham, James A. Branham, Samuel E. Branham and Frank Branham.

Mr. Branham was born in Kershaw County, a son of late Sam Branham and Mary Hayes Branham. He was a retired Carpenter and lived in Columbia most of his life. He was married to the late Mrs. Mary Braham.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Union Baptist Church in Elgin, conducted by the Rev. Jim Ivey.
