Born in Kershaw County, she was a daughter of the late Brown Ross and Elizabeth Moak Ross. She had made her home at 904 Woodlawn Ave.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ada Keith of Camden, Mrs. Bertha Strickland of Greenwood, Mrs. Leila Ross of Blaney and Mrs. Edna McQueen of Columbia; three sons, Ernest M. Hinson Sr. of Columbia, Mendel G. Hinson of Charleston and Rev. G. E. Hinson of D. Andrews; two foster sons of Andrews; two foster children of Arkana, Tex. and Herbert Martin of Kansas City, Kan.
