ELGIN – A top entry field competes here tonight at 7:30 in the sixth annual running of the Dixie Finals at the Blaney Drag Strip in Elgin.

An $11,000 purse will be shared among participants in three classes – fuel dragsters, funny car and pro stock. Don Garlits and Tommy Ivo head the dragster field while Jim Lieberman and Mickey Thompson top the funny car competition.
