WINNSBORO – Funeral services for Mrs. James Allen Branham were held today in Harmony Baptist Church in Elgin.
Mrs. Branham, 79, the former Mary Abbott, died Saturday. She was the mother of Mrs. J. P. Stockman, Collie Branham, Claude Branham and Grady Branham and sister of Leonard Branham Abbott of Columbia.
Born in Richland county, she was a daughter of the late Jim Abbott and Suzanna Blizzard Abbott. She was a retired seamstress.

WINNSBORO – Mrs. Mary Branham, 79, widow of James Allen Branham, died Saturday in a Columba nursing home after a long illness.
Born in Richland county, she was a daughter of the late Jim Abbott and Suzanna Blizzard Abbott. She was a retired seamstress.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Fulmer Goff of Winnsboro, Mrs. W. C. Stockman and Mrs. Brooks Branham of Elgin and Mrs. J. P. Stockman of Columbia; six sons, Caldwell Branham and James C. Branham of Winnsboro, George Branham of Sumter, Collie Branham, Claude Branham and Grady Branham of Columbia; a brother Leonard Branham Abbott of Columbia; 38 grandchildren; 53 great-granchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 4 p.m Monday in Harmony Baptist Church in Elgin, with burial in Smyrna Methodist Church Cemetery.
