Maple Street Southern Methodist Church was the setting for the 7:30 p.m. Saturday Wedding of Miss Brenda Kay Branham and Hewward Madison Coker Jr. THe Rev. Raymond F. Shepard officiated.

Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Dale Branham (Vera Lee Gladden Branham) of Columbia are the parents of the bride. She is a graduate of Columbia High School and is employed by Citizens and Southern National Bank in the bookkeeping department.

Mr. and Mrs. Heyward Madison Coker of Columbia are the bridegroom’s parents. He is a graduate of University High school and the two-year associate degree program of the University of South Carolina College of General Studies. He served four years in the U. S. Navy. He is employed with his father in residential construction.

Following a reception at the church. The couple left for a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach. Upon returning, they will reside at 1517 Gladden St., Columbia.
