ELGIN – Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Rex Poole announce the engagement of their daughter, Linda Ann Poole, and Robert Bernard Melcher. The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edwin Melcher of Wellsburg, W. Va.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 3 in Blaney Baptist Church.
