Nissie B Railey was born May 22, 1892 in Blaney, South Carolina, a daughter of William Allen Sanders and Eliza Jane Proctor Sanders
1900 Census Information:
According to the United States Census recorded on June 25, 1900, William Sanders (43) owned a farm in Wateree Township, Kershaw County, South Carolina with his wife of 25 years, Eliza Sanders (44). It was reported that Eliza was the mother of 10 children; all of whom survive. Also in the home were their children; Archie C Sanders (21), Elizabeth Sanders (18), John Sanders (16), William A Sanders (13), Warren D Sanders (12), Hiram A Sanders (9), Nessie Sanders (7), Henry Washington Sanders (5) Levi Sanders (3) and Samuel Sanders (less than a month old) and a boarder; Leonard Medling (22). It was reported that all of the household members were all born in South Carolina. William was a farmer and Archie C, Elizabeth, John, William A, and Warren D were all farm laborers.

BETHUNE – Services for Mrs. C. C. Railey, 82, will be 3 p.m. today in Bethune Baptist Church with burial in Scotch Cemetery.
Mrs. Railey died Thursday, September 19, 1974.
She was born in Blaney, a daughter of the late W. A. Sanders and Mary Proctor Sanders.
Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Edna R. Peach of Camden, Mrs. Thelma West of Rock Hill, Mrs. Portia McCoy of McBee, Mrs. Juanita Brown of Bay Town, Tex., Mrs. Clivie Horton and Mrs. Beth Melton of Bethune and Mrs. Virginia Frier of McAdenville, N.C.; a son, Pete Railey of McBee; 23 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
