Walter Cooper Rites Not Set

BLYTHEWOOD – Walter Bird Cooper, 82, of Rt. 1, Blythewood, died today in Richland Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Plans will be announced by Talbert-Shives Funeral Home.

Mr. Cooper was born in Upper Richland County, a son of the late Mars L. Cooper and Isabell Smith Cooper. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, a retired Fire Warden with the S. C. Forestry Commission and a retired farmer.

Surviving are a son, Wallace L Cooper, Sr., of Blythewood; a sister, Mrs. Marguerite Smith of Tabor City, N. C.; a brother, Dr. H. P. Cooper of Clemson; four grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Friends may call at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Cooper, Sr., in Blythewood and also at the funeral home.

COOPER RITES

BLYTHEWOOD – Funeral service for Walter Bird Cooper were held today in Talbert Shives Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. John P. Griffith. Burial was in Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Joe B. Brown, Edward Wilson, F. B. Cooper, Roy Hudson, Joe Bundrick and H. V. Jeffcoat.

Mr. Cooper, 82, of Rt. 1, Blythewood, a retired farmer, died Thursday in Richland Memorial Hospital.
