Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas W. Blackwell were held today in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, conducted by Charles W. Woodrow. Burial was in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Elgin.
Pallbearers were Edmund L. Dixon and Johnnie Dixon, Henry Caughman, Anthony T. Pellicci, Carl Johnson and Clarence Kirks.
Mrs. Blackwell, 63, the former Helena Ann Miles, of 1740 Dominion Drive, died Thursday at her home.

She worked with the Veterans Administration and with the Counter Intelligence Corps of the Third Army during World War II.
Mrs. Blackwell was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Thomas W. Blackwell, Jr., George R Blackwell, and Theodore “Ted” Blackwell; a sister, Mrs. J. W. (May) Goodwin; two brothers, Woodrow Miles and Melvin Miles, all of Columbia; and five grandchildren.
