Born in Blaney, he was a son of the late Robert Marion Cokerr and Lucille Morgan Coker. He was a retired civil service employee with the Veterans Administration in Columbia and an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ella Dillard Coker of Elgin; two daughters, Mrs. Arlin Rose and Mrs. Andrea Brown of Elgin; a sister, Mrs. Flem Ross of Elgin; four brothers, Ernest Coker of Lugoff, Edward Coker of Charleston and Willard Coker and Lindsay Coker of Elgin; four grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church.
