KERSHAW
Mrs. Vera Bell Copeland Hilton, 53, wife of Astor Ward Hilton, died Thursday, September 23, 1983.
Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late John Benjamin Copeland and Olive White Copeland. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the King Alfred Garden Club.
Mrs. Hilton taught in the Blaney, Flat Creek and Andrew Jackson schools.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Miss Carole Ann Hilton of Kershaw; a brother, Daniel Copeland of Timmonsville; and sisters, Mrs. Melton (Vira) Middleton of Florence and Miss Louellen Copeland of Timmonsville.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church, with burial in Kershaw City Cemetery.
Cauthen Funeral Home is in charge.
