About 300 touring racers on the NHRA- Winston points circuit will Blaney Drag Strip today and Sunday for the first ever two-day NHRA Points meet.

Funny Cars, alcohol dragsters, super gasers, pro stockers, modifieds super stocks, wheelstanders and super comps division will all be racing for $66,000 in cash and contingencies.

Top racers entered in the event include Johnny Dowey, Reid Whisnant, Roy Hill, Charlie Pepper, Sam Carroll, Harold Denton and Bunny Burkett.

The gates open today at 9 a.m. with pro stock, funny car and dragster qualifying beginning at 4 p.m. Adult admission for both days is $11.
