Elgin set for Catfish Stomp

The 11th annual Catfish Stomp will be held Dec. 6, in Elgin.

The weekend of Dec. 5-7 will be filled with activities, topped off by the Catfish Stomp, which will begin at 10 a.m. December 6.

The focal point of the Catfish Stomp will be the serving of hundreds of gallons of catfish stew in the Blaney School Cafeteria, just off U. S. 1 in downtown Elgin.

The stomp will feature a Christmas theme parade beginning at 10 a.m. along with plenty of day-long events such as carnival rides, arts and crafts and free musical entertainment.
