John Thurmond Motley, 86, died Saturday, June 13, 1987.
Born in Richland County, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Talley Motley. He was a retired trainman of Seaboard Railroad Co. and a member of Blaney Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. J. L. (Mildred) Ross and Mrs. Marvin (Wilma) Campbell of Elgin; a sister, Mrs. Cleo Sessions of Columbia; a brother, D. D. Motley of Columbia; a half brother, W. W. Motley of Charleston; half sister, Mrs. Doris Byars and Mrs. Lillian Dreher of Columbia; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Blaney Baptist Church.
Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, is in charge.
