Willie “Bill’ Lyles Sr., of Route 2, Box 366, died Monday.

Born in Kershaw County, he was a son of the late James Wesley Lyles and Mrs. Kiruth Davis Lyles. He was a self-employed as a frame contractor. He was a member of Good Aim Baptist Church of Elgin and the trustee board, and was vice president of the choir.

Surviving his widow, Mrs. Barbara Worthy Lyles; sons, Willie Lyles Jr., Carlon T. Lyles, Tony D. Lyles, and Tyrus T. Lyles, all of Blythewood and Michael Hudson of Lugoff; daughters, Mrs. Cheryl D. Brumfield of Columbia and Mrs. Regina F. Corley and Mrs. Sarah H Lawhorn of Blythewood; brothers, Walter Lyles of Waterbury, Conn., and James Lyles and Robert Lyles of Stamford, Conn.; sisters, Mrs. Frances Mitchell, Mrs. Carrie Watson, Mrs. Ruthie Bostic and Mrs. Alberta Simmons, all of Columbia, Mrs. Louise Hudson of Atlanta and Mrs. Mattie Johnson of New Rochelle, N. Y.; and grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Good Aim Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. J. H. Roberson, the Rev. Albert Johnson, the Rev. W. D. Roberson, the Rev. Raymond Carolina and the Rev. Tommy Williams.

The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. today at Palmer Memorial Chapel.
