Blaney Baptist Church in Elgin recently held a baking contest, for men only. The winners were, from left; Randy Byrd, whose chocolate pound cake was chosen most beautiful; David Spinks, whose plum and pecan cake was judged most creative; and Mike Sawyer, whose gingerbread and maple cream cake was chosen most delicious.
