Mrs. Mary Estele Lipscomb Peery, 77, died Thursday.
Born in Lynchburg. Va, she was a daughter of the late Bradford G. and Mrs. Essie Hodges Lipscomb. She was a member of Blaney Baptist Church, and member and past worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lugoff-Elgin Chapter Lodge No. 298, and a member and past president of the ladies’ auxiliary of the American Legion James Leroy Belk Post 17.
Surviving are her husband, Henry B Peery, and daughters, Shirley Rush of Lugoff and Delorse Vierra of Union City, Calif.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Blaney Baptist Church, and burial, with Eastern Star rites, will be in the church cemetery.
Services will be held at Order of the Eastern Star, Lugoff-Elgin Chapter Lodge No. 298 in care of First Union National Bank of Lugoff.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel.
