Mrs. Ines Ross Nelson, 73, widow of Harvey W Nelson, died Sunday.
Born in Elgin, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence D Ross and Nannie Brown Ross. She operated Nelson Day Care until the mid 1970’s, was a charter member, clerk, and Historian and Sunday school teacher at Hillcrest Baptist Church, and was a member of the Gideon Auxiliary.
Surviving are sons, Donald Nelson of Atlanta, Larry Nelson of Lugoff and the Rev. Wilson Nelson of Georgetown; Sisters Mrs. Eva Ross of Elgin, Mrs Connie Cooper of Columbia, Mrs. Lois Jeffcoat of West Columbia and Mrs. Pearl Jordan and Mrs. Naomi Lattimore, both of Lugoff and a brother Lawrence Ross Jr. of North Charleston.
Services were held at 5pm at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Gideons or the Church. Kornegay Funeral home, Camden Chapel, is in Charge.
