Services for Bettie Johnson Richardson of Columbia will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at First Calvary Baptist Church, with burial in Randolph Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at A. P. Williams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Richardson, wife of the late James Henry Richardson Sr., died Saturday. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of Mary Nesbitt Johnson Lemon and the late Henry Johnson. A graduate of Benedict College and Allen University, she taught at Blaney Elementary School before moving to New York City. She was a private nurse for several doctors and for the Manischewitz family. She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving are daughters, Viola Mayo of Columbia, Harriett Smith of Jamaica, N. Y., Carol Richardson of Flushing, N. Y., and Dianne Watson of Manhattan; a son, James Richardson, Jr. of Jamaica, N. Y.; and a sister, Ellen Roundtree.
