ELGIN – Shannon Michele Dickert of Elgin and Ricky Jerril Kinard of Chapin were married Saturday, November 6, 1993 at Blaney Baptist Church. The 6 p.m. Ceremony was performed by the Rev. Lawrence C. Dennis and was followed by a reception at the church.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Dickert Jr. of Elgin, earned an associate degree in public service from Midlands Technical College. She is a claims investigator at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Columbia.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hilton (Martha Long) of Elgin and Billy J. Kinard of Chapin, is a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School. He is employed at Newberry College.

After a wedding trip to Dahlonega, Ga., the couple will reside in Chapin.
