Blaney Baptist Church Youth will have an evening of soup and “stars” Friday at 5:30 p.m. with entertainment starting at 7 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Cost is $3 for adults, $2 for children ages 7 through 11 and children age 6 and under are free. All proceeds will be used to finance a summer retreat for church youth. The church is at the intersection of Church Street and White Pond Road in downtown Elgin.
