RIDGEWAY – Melissa Lynn Looper of Ridgeway and John Thomas Erickson Jr. of Elgin were married at the First Baptist Church. The 5 p.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. Joe H Parker and was followed by a reception at the Old Armory.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Funderburk of Ridgeway and Nell Harrold of Moncks Corner, is a graduate of Richard Winn Academy. She is a junior buyer at The J. P. M. Co. in Winnsboro.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas Erickson Sr. (Edith E Challis Erickson) of Columbia, is a graduate of Spring Valley High School. He is a quality assurance tecnician at F. N. Manufacturing in Columbia.

After a wedding trip to Mount Pisgah, North Carolina, the couple will reside in Elgin.
