ELGIN – Graveside services for Martha Boykin Rose, 81, will be held at 2 P.m. Friday, August 23, in the Blaney Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the Kornegay Funeral home – Camden Chapel.
Mrs. Rose, wife of the late Lenare P. Rose, died Tuesday, August 20, 1996. Born in Charlotte, she was the daughter of the late Henry F. Boykin and Almead Bailey Boykin.
She retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, having served on the Conservation Committee for 38 and a half years. She was a member of Smyrna United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Lawrence Boykin Rose of Elgin, and one brother, Clyde M. Boykin of Lugoff.
She was predeceased by a brother James F. Boykin.
