Richard Peters

ELGIN- Richard J. Peters, 78, of J.L. Moak Rd., died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1997. At Mr. Peter’s request, his body was donated to the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

Born in Rochester, N.Y., he was a son of the late Anthony and Anna Peters. He was a former chemist at Bausch & Lomb of Rochester and former materials manager at Singer Corporation in Rochester.

Surviving are sons, Mark Peters of Anderson, Richard Peters of Rochester, N.Y.; daughters, Susan Tennant, Mary Lee and Teresa Dixon, all of Elgin, Jean Dalton of Chesterfield, Mich. and Elizabeth Gates of Rochester, N.Y.; brother, Charles Peters of Arlington, Va; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
