WINNSBORO – Service for Alma Wilson Ferguson, 84, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 16, 1998, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ridgeway Ward, with burial in Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Hayward Christensen and Mr. William Langley will officiate. Grandson will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at Pope Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mrs. Ferguson, widow of William Lyle Ferguson, died Tuesday, January 13, 1998. Born July 9, 1913, in Centerville, she was the daughter of the late Flemming and Alice Branham Wilson. She was a retired employee of UniRoyal, Inc., and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ridgeway Ward.
Surviving are sons, David Lyle Ferguson Sr. of Ridgeway and Charles Edward Ferguson of North Augusta; daughters, Carolyn Patterson and Annette Bayne, both of Greenwood; brother, Eddie Wilson of Winnsboro; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a son, William M Ferguson.
