ELGIN – Services for Frances Ruby Davis Collins, 82, will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The Revs. Bill Drees and William Cortney will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5-7 tonight at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, P. O. Box 85, Elgin, 29045.
Mrs. Collins died Friday, April 24, 1998. Born in Richmond, Va., she was a daughter of the late Tom Davis and Lillie Barnes Davis Wood, and was married to the late Chester B. Collins. She was retired from B. F. Goodrich and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where she was the oldest active, original member.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Ray T. Barrett and Dorothy Barrett, Ben T. Collins and Carol Collins, Larry B. Collins and Sharon Collins of Elgin, William B. Collins and Norma Collins and Curtis H. Collins and Sarah Collins of Lugoff; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
