ELGIN- Funeral services for Marian Jessie Dinkins Farmer, 56, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998, at Talbert-Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-9 tonight at the funeral home. The family will be at the residence of Richard and Elizabeth Cook, 1100 Chestnut Hill Road, Elgin.

Mrs. Farmer, wife of Robert Farmer, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of Lillie Sue Kinsey Dinkins Kent and the late Levi David Dinkins. She attended New Hope Holiness Church in Elgin.

Surviving are her husband of Atlanta; sons, Lewis Holsomback of Elgin and Robert “Bob” Holsomback of Whitesburg, Ga.; daughters, Alice Holsomback of Columbia and Brenda Heath of Knoxville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; her mother of West Columbia; sister, Elizabeth Cook, Dean Philips, Frances Robey and Peggy Kendrick, all of Elgin, Juanita Kendrick of West Columbia, Deborah Rabon and Donna Dinkins, both of Columbia; brothers, David Dinkins and Ronnie Dinkins of Columbia.
