The west Wateree Communiuty Involvement Association will meet from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the Elgin branch of the Kershaw County Library, 2652 Main Street Elgin.

Porter Kinard of VIP Developers will speak and lead a discussion on the role and responsibilities of the developer in protecting and preserving the environment. Porter is a member of the Home Builders Association Board.

A report will be given on equipment purchased for the Blaney Fire Department using funds from the WWCIA golf tournament.

Also, suggestions are needed for the association’s assistance project.

Suggestions are needed for urgent needs in the Lugoff-Elgin area. Also, suggestions for how the association can take part in the Catfish Stomp are welcome.
