Victoria Rodriguez

ELGIN – Graveside services for Victoria Nelson Barfield Rodriguez, 87, will be held at 4 p.m. today, July 2, 2001, at Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Jacqueline Connelly and the Rev. Chris Smith will officiate. Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel is in charge.

Mrs. Rodriguez died Saturday, June 30, 2001. Born in Blaney, she was the daughter of the late John D. Nelson and Della Jackson Nelson. She was a member of Smyrna United Methodist Church. Mrs. Rodriguez was first married to the late Mendell L. Barfield and second to the late Clemente Rodriguez.

Surviving are her daughters, Annell B. Wiedemann and Helen B. Simmons of Elgin; sisters, Jessie Stockman of Elgin; Juanita Ross of Lugoff; brothers, David Nelson and Jimmy Nelson of Elgin; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
