LUGOFF – Services for Woodrow T. Hornsby, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2002 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Kenny Jackson and the Rev. Kenny Pittman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 tonight, October 3, 2002 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, P.O. Box 85, Elgin, SC 29045.

Mr. Hornsby died Wednesday, October 2, 2002. Born in Elgin, he was a son of the late Joe Hornsby and Emily Bowen Hornsby and the stepson of the late Liza Branham Hornsby. He had retired from DuPont, was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are wife, Annie Jackson Hornsby; daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn H. and Jeff McKinney of Lake Wateree; son and daughter-in-law, James Edward “Eddie” and Gwen Hornsby of Oates; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, J.R. Hornsby of Elgin; sister, Dean Nelson of Georgia. He was predeceased by sisters, Thelma Nelson and Elloree Hartman.

Woodrow T. Hornsby, 80, of Lugoff, at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Kornegay Funeral Home is in charge.
