ELGIN – Services for Herbert Alvin Branham, 83, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. George Cashwell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Memorials may be made to Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2290 Heath Pond Road, Elgin, SC 29045.
Mr. Branham died October 26, 2002. Born in Blaney, he was a son of the late Walter Branham and Etta Gladden Branham. Mr. Branham retired from DuPont Company as an electrician after 30 years of service and was a member of Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife, Beatrice Bowen Branham; daughters, Machelle Frazier of Florida and Muriel Drawdy of Elgin; sons, Larry Branham of Elgin and Gene Branham of Lake Wateree; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by sister, Sadie Grigsby.
