Candlelight vigil, sponsored by Carolina Peace Resource Center and Women in Black; 8 p.m. on the USC Horseshoe, Sumter and College streets. “In Honor and Remembrance – Woodmen Salutes America’s Heroes,” recognizing community police, firefighters, U. S. armed forces, 11 a.m. today at Ballentine Park, by Woodmen Lodge 1151. Elgin Ministerial Association remembrance ceremony, including community choruses, participation from military and emergency service personnel, 7 tonight at Blaney Elementary School, 1621 Smyrna Road in Elgin.
