Arthur Louie “Bud” Boling, Jr was born December 23, 1936 in Richland County, he was the son of the late Arthur Louie Boling, Sr. and Mamie Seay Boling.
Mr. Boling, 67, of 2928 Alpine Rd.,Columbia died Friday, June 11, 2004. He was a graduate of Columbia High School and USC. Mr. Boling worked for the US Postal Service, Westinghouse, and retired from British Petroleum Co. Following his retirement, he was an employee of Wal-Mart Super Center on Two Notch Rd.
Survivors were his wife, Lillian B. Boling, whom he married on April 4, 1958 in Richland county; son Arthur Wayne Boling: daughter and son-in-law, Helen Diane and Lawrence Brooks Davis, III: grandchildren, Matthew Brooks Davis and Amanda Lynn Davis.
Funeral service were held 2 o’clock, Monday, June 14, 2004 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Elgin, SC, conducted by Pastor Kenneth Jackson, assisted by Pastor David Covington. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6:30 until 8 o’clock Sunday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel.
