Emma Miles Bilbo
COLUMBIA – Service for Emma Dora Miles Bilbo, 77, will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church, 1005 Asbury Drive, Columbia, S.C. 29209. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
Mrs. Bilbo died Sunday, August 21, 2005. Born in Blaney, she was a daughter of the late Walter Leon Miles and Lillie Owens Miles. A graduate of the Camden Hospital School of Nursing, she retired as a registered nurse after thirty years with Providence Hospital.
Mrs. Bilbo was a member of Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Broadus C. “Bill” Bilbo; son and daughter-in-law, Dale Randolph Bilbo and Carol Bilbo of Columbia; daughter, Deborah Lynn Bilbo of Columbia; brother, William P. Miles of Elgin; sisters, Mildred Branham of Columbia, Doris Fulmer of Elgin, Faye Duich of Farrel, Pa., Betty Poole of Elgin and Gloria Squires of Camden; grandchildren, Daniel Roger Bilbo and his wife, Jennie Player Bilbo, Gary Matthew Bilbo and Christy Shipley and her husband, Trae Shipley; and great-granddaughter, Jaylee Rebecca Bilbo.
She was predeceased by sons, Donald Bilbo and David Christopher Bilbo; and brother, Oliver Leon Miles.
