LUGOFF – Service for SFC LeRoy Tyson, U.S. Army (Ret.), 76, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park Northeast. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

SFC Tyson died Tuesday, February 7, 2006. Born in Melrose, Fla., he was the son of the late Arthur Alexander Tyson and Linnie Mae Spell Tyson. He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years and retired from Rockwell International after 19 years. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed painting and wood working. He attended Blaney Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 10 years, Betty J. Tyson, and numerous stepchildren.
