KERSHAW – Andrew “Gabby” Hayes, 77, of 3007 Ray Road died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bobby Owens officiating. Burial will be at Buffalo Baptist Church cemetery.

A native of Kershaw County, Mr. Hayes was a son of the late Tillman and Mary Hornsby Hayes. He was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church and was retired from North Central High School. He was the widower of Lizzie Hinson and Minnie Bell Gantt.

Surviving are two sisters, Carrie H. Pate of Kershaw and Rosie Lee H. Barrett Fain of Camden.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cauthen Funeral Home Kershaw Chapel.
