ELGIN – Funeral services for Harold Glenn “Bud” Motley, 78, will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at 4:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Kenny Pittman will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 14, 2006, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the residence. Memorials may be made to Union Baptist Church Sound System, P.O. Box 116, Elgin, SC 29045 or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, S.C. Chapter, 1247 Lake Murray Blvd., Irmo, SC 29063.
Mr. Motley died Monday, February 13, 2006. Born in Pontiac, he was the son of the late John Glenn Motley and Lizzie Mae Ross Motley. Mr. Motley was a self-employed logger, member of Union Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Goff Motley; son and daughter-in-law, William and Virginia Motley of Elgin; grandsons, Glenn Motley, Mitchell Motley and Zachary Motley; sisters, Sylvia Flynn of Columbia, Mary Johnson, Carolyn Hightower, both of Elgin, Shirley Goff of Camden and Fannie Miles of Lugoff; brothers, Sammie Motley, Frank Motley, Brinton Motley and Orland Motley, all of Elgin. He was predeceased by a sister, Ruby Kelly, and brothers, Claude Motley and John Henry Motley.

Harold “Bud” Motley, 78, of Elgin, at 4 p.m. at Union Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, is in charge.
