WINNSBORO — Graveside services for Nellie G. Wilson, 96, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Royal Pines Memorial Cemetery conducted by Rev. Ron Pelton and Rev. Douglas Blaikie. The family will receive friends Monday, June 11, 2007, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Pope Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilson, widow of Eddie S. Wilson, died Sunday, June 10, 2007. She was born in Blaney, SC, on November 6, 1910, to the late Leonard and Eunice Rabon Gardner.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by daughters, Dorothy Branham of Winnsboro, Myria Williams and her husband, George of Columbia, Frances Gunter and her husband, Luther of Columbia, Abbie Skipper of Winnsboro, Mary Nickas and her husband, George of Columbia; 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred D. Westbrook and Sarah Wilson.
She was predeceased by her only son, Alfred L. Wilson; a grandson, Stewart Gardner Gunter; sons-inlaw, James C. Branham and William “Sonny” Skipper; sisters, Lillian Gardner and ruby Jean Gardner; brothers, Woodrow Gardner, Mancey Gardner and Leonard Gardner.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Alterra Sterling House for the love and care given to our mother.
